This year was my 30th anniversary and my boyfriend made me the most incredible present that I could ever think of… guess what? A ROAD TRIP IN ICELAND! I was so excited that I did not sleep that day. We searched quite a lot of information on the net and we ended up realizing that the best and cheapest way to do it was in a Camper rental<\/a>!<\/div>\n

Arrival in Reykjavik<\/span><\/h2>\n
We arrived in Reykjavik at 00:30AM and we found the first surprise… it was not as cold as we expected! That was a relief. The Camper Rental Company<\/a> office was opened as they told us and after 20 minutes, we were driving in the middle of the night without being aware of the amazing landscape that was surrounding us. We just stopped at the first spot we found on our way to Hengill and we slept the 1st night in our new House, the Renault Kangoo Camper!<\/div>\n

DAY 1:<\/span><\/h4>\n
Oh my God! Even though it was a little foggy, our first impression on Iceland was really stunning. That morning we visited Hengill, Pingvellir, Geysir and the Gullfoss Falls. We stopped in a supermarket and we were not surprised when we saw the prices\u2026 so expensive!<\/div>\n

We drove to Seljalandsfoss\/Glj\u00fafrafoss\/Sk\u00f3gafoss waterfalls. Every waterfall we found on our way was more impressive than the previous one. We finally went to Dyrh\u00f3laey (we saw puffins!!!) and we slept in V\u00edk \u00ed M\u00fdrdal (it was so windy that we could not use the camping gas and we had to eat mortadella sandwiches inside the camper).<\/div>\n

DAY 2:<\/span><\/h4>\n
Due to the wind, we went for a short walk in the V\u00edk \u00ed M\u00fdrdal beach and we headed for Skaftafell. On our way there, we took some photos in Eldhraun area, where the sun started to shine. Once in Skaftafell, we took the Sv\u00ednafellsj\u00f6kull Glacier Tour, which we had booked in advanced, and so we had the chance to enter in an Ice Cave which was one of the best experiences in our life (totally recommendable). After the Tour we went to Svartifoss Waterfall and we spent the night in Skaftafell Camping to have a shower and try, finally, the camping gas (we cooked a delicious pasta dinner!).<\/div>\n

DAY 3:<\/span><\/h4>\n
We went to J\u00f6kurs\u00e1rl\u00f3n to see the Icebergs and we were fascinated to see how the landscape constantly changes. Watching the Icebergs was really relaxing. We ate in H\u00f6fn and we drove to Egilsstadir to buy some food in Bonus Supermarket (the cheapest in Iceland). We continued driving to Dettifoss, without any doubt the most amazing river flow in Iceland (nearly 200.000 l\/s!!!). We spent the best night in the middle of nowhere!<\/div>\n
